Choosing a coating for your particular application

Machinery such as, tractors, trucks, forklifts, mining equipment and much more. For a very hard wearing topcoat you can use the NI-610 PU topcoat, while trailers,horse floats and other commercial equipment can be effectively coated with the NI-640 Acrylic Enamel to achieve a very cost effective and durable finish.

Marine

Marine Paint can be a bit of a tricky issue mainly due to whether the boat/yacht being used as a run about or is it stored in the water permanently. Another important issue is if your boat is Aluminium or not as special primers are needed to avoid corrosion cause by the electrolysis in salt water. We carry a range of “above the water-line” paints with a almost unlimited array of colours to select from as well as primers to suit. KBS COATINGS is a proudly Australian owned and run manufacturing company specialising in Single Component Moisture Cured Urethane (MCU) coatings and sealers and is one of only a handful of companies around the world who have mastered this challenging technology. The advantage of working with this technology is that you get the convenience of a single pack coating with no hardeners or mixing ratios to worry about, and performance levels that greatly exceed regular two component coatings. In addition, with the high solid nature of KBS Coatings MCUs you get the added advantage of low VOCs (the solvents in the coating) meaning that our coatings have some of the highest environmental standards for solvent based coatings anywhere in the world. Many of them are lower than California’s VOC limits which are the toughest in the world.

AQUAKLEAN

A powerful multi purpose cleaner for Automotive and diesel engines, machinery parts, car frames, construction equipment, holding tanks, trucks, compressors, engine rooms and much much more. AquaKlean is water-based and can be diluted up to 10 times its volume, it leaves no residue, noxious odours and non-flammable. It penitrates deeply to remove dirt, soil, grime, oils, lubricants, grease, wax, just to name a few.

Avaliable in 1ltr, 4lt and 15ltr quantities.

RUSTBLAST

RustBlast is a water based rust remover and zinc phosphate pre-priming etch that disolves rust, corrosion, metal oxides and tarnishing from most metal surfaces. It is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable and requires minimal protective covering (glasses and gloves). Rust Blast will also remove mill scale from new metal including structural steel, metal castings, and plate steel.

Available in 250ml, 1ltr, 4ltr and 15ltr quantities.

RUSTSEAL

KBS RustSeal is a single component high-solid content, rust preventive coating / rust paint / sealer. This extremely tough and flexible coating is highly resistible to mechanical abrasion and impact, it is highly resistant to road salts, aggressive chemicals, including most acids, alkalis, solvents, oil and other refined petroleum products. RustSeal self levels out to a smooth rock-hard finish that resists chips and scratches.

Colours: Galvanised Steel, Off-White, Silver, Gloss Black, Satin Black, Grey, Blue.

Available in 250ml, 500ml, 1ltr, 4ltr, and 20ltr quantities.

BLACKTOP

KBS BlackTop is a permanent, moisture-cured, UV stable black top coat primarily used for topcoating surfaces previously sealed with KBS RustSeal or any other paint/primer application. BlackTop maybe used alone as a resilient coating, however it will not offer the ultimate rust protection unless it is used in combination with RustSeal. BlackTop dries to a rock hard yet flexible coating that can be readily applied to chassis, coil springs and light weight panels.

Colours: Satin & Gloss Black finishes

CHASSIS COATER KIT

This 3 STEP TOTAL ERADICATION system is specifically designed and formulated to ensure a better surface preparation, exceptional adhesion and durability. The Chassis Coater Kit covers roughly 5.6sq meters in two coat in the worlds toughest determinant rust preventative coating.

Kit includes:

1lt AquaKlean, 1lt RustBlast, 1lt RustSeal, 1 x pair if Black Lightning nitrile gloves, 1 x 25mm Paint Brushes.

CHASSIS COATER KIT – PRO

This complete kit takes Chassis Coater Kit to the next level. In addition to the complete KBS 3-Step System, this kit includes 500mls of BlackTop for a permanent UV stable final finish which withstands dulling and fading caused by prolonged sunlight exposure.

Kit includes:

1lt AquaKlean, 1lt RustBlast, 1lt RustSeal, 500ml Blacktop, 250ml Thinner, 1 x pair if Black Lightning nitrile gloves, 2 x 25mm Paint Brushes.

Diamond Clear

KBS Diamond Finish ClearCoat is a permanent moisture-cured, single pack, UV stable coating primarily used for clear coating painted surfaces. Once cured it is incredibly tough and hard like no other clear coat you have used before.

This water clear 100% wet gloss clear coat remains permanently flexible and is able to perform in the toughest environments including Australia’s highest UV applications without yellowing or cracking. Diamond Finish ClearCoat can be applied by brush (without brush marks) roller and conventional spray gun easily, and unlike normal 2 pack coatings no hardener is needed! Diamond Finish ClearCoat can cure without heat or UV lights in temperatures from 6°C to 30°C.

Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer

KBS Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer is a superior component, ready-to-use fuel tank sealer that is specifically formulated to stop rust and corrosion. Used properly, it will form a tough, fuel-impervious coating whilst sealing small pinholes and weld seams. Primarily it is used in conjunction with AquaKlen and RustBlast as part of a complete fuel tank restoration system.

Available in 500ml, 1ltr, 4ltr quantities.

Motorcycle Fuel Tank Sealer Kit

Not only is this kit great for motorcycles but it can be used for generators, mowers, tractors and other small tanks. A complete Kit with all that you need to form a tough, fuel-impervious coating whilst sealing small pinholes and weld seams. Suitable for Steel, Aluminium and Fibreglass fuel and oil tanks.
